Colorbar Sinful Matte lipstick Stripped Review

Is it worth the price?

I am always keen on trying new lipsticks and this specific range of colorbar got me really excited and intrigued at the same time because of the high price and also the bullet seemed eye-catching which looked powdery and velvety in the pictures so I  thought of trying it out. It comes in a total of 24 shades which has dark colours as well as nudes. I will be reviewing the shade Stripped- 016. Read further to know whether it is worth the price or not.

Packaging and Appearance

The lipstick comes in a multi-coloured sturdy cardboard box with a magnetic closure. The lipstick comes in a very luxurious gunmetal colour which makes it difficult to identify a particular shade if you have more than one shade from the range. The bullet has a velvet kind of finish around it which makes it very attractive. The shade name is mentioned on the box as well as on the base of the lipstick. The cap is magnetic and so it will not open on its own even if you carry it in your bag.

My Experience with the Colorbar Sinful Matte Lipstick Stripped

Stripped is a light coral colour suitable for fair to medium skin tone. But for medium skin, it can be a tad bit light so I would recommend using a dark coloured lip liner or wearing it with a full face of make-up. The shade offers great pigmentation in just one swipe and also covers pigmented lips. It glides on like butter on your lips. It feels very comfortable on your lips and doesn’t make the lip dry. Once you apply the lipstick it looks creamy but after a few minutes, it settles into a velvety matte finish. It is mandatory to prepare your lips before applying any lipstick and the same goes with this lipstick too. If you prepare your lips in advance by exfoliating and applying a lip balm 15-20 mins before application only then it will glide on smoothly on your lips. The shade name is mentioned on the box as well as on the base of the lipstick. The bullet is not colour-coordinated which is a downside if you have more than one shade from this range. As far as the saying power is concerned it stays for 4 to 5 hours depending upon what you eat and drink. It does fade away from the centre of your lips point if you eat something oily.  The formula can be compared to any high-end lipstick. Overall, I really like the formula of this lipstick but as the price point is concerned, I find them pricey may be because of the formula. I would be happy if they would have been priced between Rs 700 to 800.  Are they worth the money? I cannot really comment on that. They cannot be compared to any budget lipstick available in the market as the formula of these lipsticks is really amazing. I would recommend buying these lipsticks and would love to try some more shades from this range.
